This Holland Marsh Wineries wedding was such a beautiful example of how silk flowers can create a polished, romantic look while still feeling soft and natural. For this couple, I created a delicate white and green floral design featuring cosmos, peonies, roses, fern and lamb’s ear greenery. I also provided bud vases, floating candles and table runners for the reception, which all came together to create a really elegant tablescape.
I had lots of setup time that morning, so I was able to take my time getting everything in place before guests arrived. I laid out the long table runners across the harvest tables, arranged the bud vases and then made what felt like countless trips back and forth with buckets of water to fill all of the floating candles! The reception space felt incredibly spacious with the long harvest tables stretching through the room, and once the flowers, candles and greenery were all in place, the whole room had a beautiful, elevated feel.
Holland Marsh Wineries is a family-run winery surrounded by the farmland and vineyards of the Holland Marsh, with beautiful grounds and plenty of natural scenery around the property. There is something really welcoming about the setting—it feels polished enough for an elegant wedding while still having the relaxed atmosphere of a family-run venue. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the morning, which always makes setup that much more enjoyable.
By the time everything was finished, the combination of soft white silk flowers, greenery, candlelight and long wooden harvest tables felt both high-end and inviting. I especially loved how the delicate flowers looked against the warm tones of the reception space. It was a beautiful wedding to be part of, and another reminder of how realistic silk flowers can be for couples who want a full, consistent floral look without having to worry about flowers wilting throughout a long summer wedding day.
