Affordable Wedding Venues in Toronto for 2026

Affordable Wedding Venues in Toronto for 2026

Planning a wedding in Toronto can feel overwhelming — mostly because the moment you mention the word wedding, prices seem to skyrocket. As a wedding photographer and farmer-florist, I've had the privilege of visiting many wedding venues in the GTA - from ballrooms to microwedding locations and rural properties.

The good news? Affordable options absolutely exist. Below is a list of Toronto (and just-outside Toronto) venues that offer great value, transparent pricing, and beautiful atmospheres without the high-end markup. I’ve also included insights from real couples and some practical budgeting strategies that truly make a difference.

Carrying Place Golf & Country Club — King, ON

Site fee: About $1,500 in the off-season and around $3,000 during peak season
Capacity: Roughly 100 guests
Why it’s affordable & worth considering:
Carrying Place is one of my favourite budget-friendly country club options close to Toronto (it's where I got married!). You get access to a modern reception hall, clean amenities, a beautiful outdoor ceremony space (and indoor back-up space), and in-house catering — all without the typical $10,000+ venue rental fee that many clubs charge. One of the biggest advantages is bar flexibility: you can choose an open bar, ticketed bar, or cash bar depending on your budget. It’s a stylish, fresh-looking space that doesn’t need an extravagant décor budget to make it feel special.

Auberge du Pommier — North York

Approximate cost: Around $12,000 for a 40-person, Saturday dinner wedding (including appetizers, mains, desserts, a champagne toast, drinks, and a charcuterie board)
Atmosphere: Upscale French restaurant with impeccable food
Why I love it:
What impressed me most about Auberge du Pommier is how upfront they are with pricing — no hidden surprises, no complicated fee structure. The larger private room tops out at about 40 people, making it perfect for intimate, food-focused weddings. The ceremony can be held on the covered terrace or indoors, depending on weather. For anyone who values cuisine as the highlight of the day, this venue is genuinely worth considering. And unlike many Toronto restaurants, the minimum spend here is reportedly low, which is a huge perk.

Toronto Micro Weddings — Toront

Starting point: All-inclusive packages under most people’s standard wedding budgets
What makes it budget-friendly:
If you want a stress-free, streamlined wedding, this is one of Toronto’s best options. Packages typically include your officiant, décor, photographer, venue, coordination, floral touches, and more — all bundled at a price much lower than piecing everything together separately. Couples love that you can personalize add-ons while keeping the base structure affordable and simple. Perfect for intimate ceremonies or couples who don't want the logistical headache.

Caffino — Liberty Village

Style: Charming restaurant with European character
Why it’s affordable:
Restaurant weddings are one of the best-kept secrets for budget-conscious Toronto couples. Caffino is warm, intimate, cozy, and romantic — and because it’s already decorated beautifully, you don’t need to invest much in flowers or rentals. The atmosphere does most of the work for you. With smaller guest lists, you can keep costs down while still enjoying a memorable, stylish space.

The Heintzman House — Thornhill

Pricing: Typically more affordable than downtown historic venues
Why it’s a great value:
Heintzman House gives you that classic, elegant historic-property look without Toronto’s premium pricing. It’s ideal for couples wanting vintage character, natural light, and beautiful grounds. Because the venue itself is so detailed and charming, you can keep décor minimal — an instant budget win. It also accommodates a variety of wedding sizes and gives you flexibility with external vendors.

University Club of Toronto

Style: Traditional, refined, downtown venue
What makes it work for budgets:
The University Club offers a striking old-world feel, excellent food, and polished service — often at a more approachable price than downtown hotels. It’s perfect if you want a classic Toronto look without paying luxury-hotel premiums. Many couples appreciate the warm wood interiors and intimate atmosphere that eliminates the need for heavy décor spending.

Glenerin Inn — Mississauga

A real couple’s cost: One pair reported a full wedding for 75 guests (venue, food, extras, photographer, DJ) for about $30,000.
Why it’s appealing:
Glenerin Inn is a historic stone estate with gardens, fireplaces, and boutique charm. The all-in pricing can be surprisingly reasonable, especially for winter or off-peak dates. It’s a great alternative if you want that rustic-elegant vibe without the drive to Niagara or Caledon.

Bellamy Loft — Toronto

Capacity: Up to about 100 seated
What makes it budget-friendly:
Bellamy Loft specializes in weddings, vow renewals, and micro-events, offering customizable packages and flexible catering options. The space is bright, open, and modern — essentially a blank canvas that looks beautiful with very minimal décor. Couples with specific dietary needs love how accommodating they are.

Two of Hearts Chapel — Toronto

Budget highlight:
They offer express weddings and partnership packages (including an option with the Drake Hotel). It’s ideal for couples who want something modern, minimal, chic, and quick to plan. This is a favourite among couples seeking meaningful but simplified celebrations.

Mississauga Grand — Mississauga

Why it’s affordable:
Winter weddings here can be significantly cheaper, thanks to special off-season pricing. The space is generous, the food is solid, and couples consistently describe it as one of the better-priced banquet-style venues in the Greater Toronto area. Great for anyone looking for value without sacrificing that classic banquet hall experience.

Terrace Event Venue — Vaughan

Why couples love it:
They offer very reasonable per-person packages, and the team (especially Rob and Marilou) is known for being extremely helpful. Just make sure to double-check your contract for AV or lighting fees — some venues outsource this and charge an additional $3,000–$5,000. As long as you’re aware of those details, Terrace can be one of the more approachable options in the area.

How to Stay on Budget for Your Toronto Wedding

These are practical, proven strategies that actually move the needle.

1. Consider a lunch menu instead of dinner

Lunch is significantly cheaper at most restaurants and venues, often with the exact same food quality.

2. Choose buffet or family-style

Plated dinners add staff costs and complexity. Buffets or family-style serving can save thousands.

3. Prioritize high-impact vendors — and let go of the rest

Spend more on what lasts:

  • Photography

  • Videography (if important to you)

Spend less on:

  • Décor

  • Favours

  • Extra stationery

  • Overly large wedding party

4. Rethink the cake

A custom wedding cake can easily cost $600–$1,500. Instead:

  • Order a cake from a local bakery

  • Do cupcakes

  • Or have cookies from a small local baker

All taste great — and none cost as much.

5. DIY centerpieces

Candles, greenery, and simple vases go a long way. Minimal flowers can still look beautiful.

6. Use Facebook Marketplace or borrowing communities

You can find:

  • Vases

  • Linens

  • Candle holders

  • Card boxes

  • Seating charts

  • Signage

  • Backdrops

Often barely used — and at a fraction of the cost.

7. Keep the wedding party small

Fewer bouquets, boutonnieres, gifts, and accessories = real savings.

8. Choose a venue that doesn’t need $5,000 of décor

This is one of the biggest budget hacks.
Pick places that are naturally beautiful — restaurants, estates, historic buildings, gardens, lofts with character. Your wallet will thank you.

9. Use flowers strategically

Flowers add up fast.
Choose:

  • Greenery

  • Baby’s breath

  • In-season blooms

  • Minimal arrangements

And repurpose everything you can from ceremony to reception.

A Toronto wedding doesn’t need to cost $60,000 to be stylish, warm, and meaningful. With the right venue, realistic priorities, and smart budgeting, you can absolutely create a beautiful day that feels like you — without sacrificing your savings.
